WALK FOR THE HOMELESS

On the past Sunday, a number of OLVers participated in a mini-walk to support the homeless. Our Director of Social Concerns, Ms. Jane Soberano, provides an account for us:

Twenty-five children and adults took part in OLV's third annual mini-walk along MacArthur Blvd. for Veronica House and its parent company, Community Council for the Homeless/Friendship Place raising almost $500. Ms. Liz Siegal, a volunteer at CCH/FP talked to us about homelessness and read a story about Kathleen, a resident at Veronica House. A big thank you to Mrs. Debbie McNally and the Post-Communion class for sponsoring this walk and to the parents and young people who participated.
