NY Archdiocese Priests' Protest

The protest against their Ordinary has brought the actions of a committee of priests to the public press. The NY Daily News learned of the letter calling for a 'no confidence' vote aimed at the Cardinal who will be celebrating his 75th birthday in several months -- an age when all bishop must send a letter requesting the Holy Father to grant retirement. Cdl Egan sent a letter to the Archdiocese's Presbyteral [Priests'] Council requesting an immediate meeting ... Monday morning .... I hope my former colleagues from the NYFD will be outside the Cdl's residence!!! Maybe he should wear fire retardant vestments that day.
