Animated film bio of John Paul II
Oct. 12 (CWNews.com) - A Spanish studio has produced the first animated film biography of Pope John Paul II (bio - news).
The Cavin Cooper studio in Barcelona, working in conjunction with the Vatican Television Center (CTV), has introduced the animated film, John Paul II: Friend of All Humanity." Its October 17 debut will be accompanied by a documentary on the life of the late Pontiff.
The 60-minute film, produced in several different languages, is a project designed for families, explained José Lopez-Guardia, the director of the Spanish production company. The movie-- with music directed by Msgr. Marco Frisina, the director of the Rome diocesan orchestra-- traces the life of Karol Wojtyla from childhood to the beginning of his pontificate.
