Thanksgiving Day Endowment Leadership

For your Pastor it was a wonderfully quiet day. After Mass I had a meeting with the new Chairperson of the Parish Educational (for both school and church components of the parish) Endowment Fund, Mrs. Annie Durbin. The outgoing Chair, Mr. John Lawlor, will "gavel" Mrs. Durbin into office at the annual meeting in December. We owe John and wonderful wife, Joan, many kudos for getting the endowment underway. More about the Endowment and how it serves the parish in an upcoming posting.
After my ham dinner, yours truly retired to a comfortable chair to catch up on some rest ... still trying to rid himself of the cold? bronchitis? whatever? that took up residence in both head and chest almost five weeks ago. Someone warned me: "Take care of that cold now!" My response: "Take care of it? You have to be kidding. I am trying to get rid of the thing."
And this evening has been spent posting on two blog sites and working on a First Pastoral Letter that should be ready for mailing to the registered households within a week or so. And after that, addressing Christmas card envelopes ... since I did not get that task done last year!!!
