Being a teacher of the collegiate level for a time, I always noticed that "dormies" usually begin to show signs of loneliness fatigue around this time of the year. So, I just would like to suggest that we offer a prayer or two for our collegians from this parish who are away from home ... especially those away for the first time. And, if you know one or two, why not drop them an upbeat card. The pressure of upcoming exams and papers will not begin to weigh heavily upon them. Too often, once our young adults move away for college days, we tend to forget them.Likewise, we cannot forget the men and women who are in the armed forces at this time of the years as well. I cannot begin to imagine how many of the troops feel --- at least after watching some interviews on the news stations --- following the elections last week. Americans, a majority number, are opposed to the war. But we cannot let the troops feel we have opposed them and their tasks.
