This morning, at 9:15 AM, long, long-time parishioner, Mr. Juan Girals, husband of Theresa (Senior as so many call her) and daughter Theresa (nicknames Theresa Junior) died after a very difficult two months of illness that began with a serious operation. While we believe that God has called Juan home to his place of eternal peace, the loss of a loved one is never easy to accept ... even though we believe that eternal peace is much, much better. None who were aware of the painful journey of these last two months can overlook the dedication and loyalty of Theresa to her husband whether at GW Hospital or at Sibley. Always at his side; always praying for him. Likewise to his daughter and son-in-law was present as often as possible. As their Pastor, I wish to express the heartfelt sympathy of our parish to Juan's family and other relatives and friends who enjoyed his presence throughout his life. Juan is with the Lord. Our prayers are with and for you now. What a day to be called home by God: Sunday, the feast of Christ the King!
