In his regular, weekly Wednesday audience, Pope Benedict, having spoken about great figures in our Church's history, brought forward a group of leading figures that many would not expect from the former head of CDF. The topic: women, women, women . It is a magnificent testimony to the very unique and special role women have played in our church throughout the ages, perhaps without the recognition that is due. Of course some women will see it as far from what they want or hope for in the Church. However, I have read the document and am truly amazed at the scope of the Pope's vision in this particular area.
