Daily Reflection: February 15th

DAILY READINGS No doubt the instruction of Jesus to his disciples about the challenges his followers would encounter is a reminder to us that discipleship is not a vocation for whimps! He did not say it is not for people who might struggle and fail. He did say that it is for those who, once fallen, are not afraid to stand up and start again.

Think of the closest to him. Peter, in particular, is an example for us. He is indeed a model that brings with him and his failure the ability and the grace to regain his intention. The death of Peter, his own crucifixion, is again a reminder to us that being a person who lives the Christian life and who does not fold can be a true martyrdom.
