Mark Your Calendar

The Parish Lecture Series for the month of March will, I am sure, draw a large crowd. There will be a panel discussion among three internationally recognized Catholic laymen addressing the Church in Today's World. The guests are as follows:

    1. Mr. Russell Shaw. A parishioner, Russell is both a writer and a speaker recognized throughout the Catholic world. At one time, Mr. Shaw was the spokesperson for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. He has written numerous articles about the Bishops in this country and the various issues they tackle. Likewise he is frequently a panelist on radio shows dealing with the Church.
    2. Dr. Kurt Martens. A Belgian, Dr. Martens recently joined the Canon Law faculty at the Catholic University of America. Dr. Martens is also a recognized scholar of Church history. He was the national tv commentator for both the tv productions of the death, funeral and burial of Pope John Paul II and the conclave, election and ceremonies of installation of Pope Benedict XVI for Belgian tv. Dr. Martens occasionally attends Mass at our parish.
    3. Mr. Rocco Palmo. Blogger supreme and writer, Mr. Palmo is recognized world-wide for his refreshing and informative blog, Whispers in the Loggia. He is a regular correspondent for The London Tablet, a recognize scholarly Catholic publication from London, England. Mr Palmo also writes articles about the Church and its happenings in several other blogs.

The presentation will be in the church, immediately following Sunday evening's 6:00 PM Mass on Sunday March 18th. March 18th.
