The Genesis reading continues with the blessing of Jacob, posing as Esau, by Isaac. In today's transparency world, Jacob would be brought before a Senate investigating committee. Most likely he would be found guilty. Perhaps a pardon or a commutation might occur!!!
But the mystery of the story is that God works good out of what is not always the best of circumstances. Jacob lives on to become the Father of Israel and his twelve sons the twelve tribes of Israel. Go figure that out in our modern mentality.
